Jñāna Mudra

Jñāna mudra is a symbolic hand gesture, or mudrā, commonly used in meditation and yoga practices. It means ‘knowledge’ and is believed to promote calmness, concentration, and spiritual awakening.
To form the jñāna mudrā, bring your index finger to touch your thumb while extending the remaining three fingers. The index finger represents individual consciousness, while the thumb represents universal consciousness. By joining them together in this way, the mudrā symbolizes the union of the individual with the divine or universal consciousness.
In yoga and meditation, practitioners often hold jñāna mudrā with both hands while seated in a comfortable position. This is believed to help bring the mind into a state of stillness and awareness, facilitating deeper concentration, introspection, and the knowledge of who you truly are.

Jñāna mudrā is also sometimes used in conjunction with pranayama, or yogic breathing exercises, to help regulate and focus the breath. Some practitioners believe that the mudrā can help stimulate the brain and improve cognitive function.
Overall, jñāna mudrā is a simple yet powerful gesture that can be a useful tool in your mindfulness, meditation, and yoga practice.
